So this should sound eerily familiar. Approximately 14 months ago ‘hurricane’ Irene came barreling through Baltimore. By ‘barreling’ I mean it rain/drizzled for a  sustained period of time. We affectionately refer to this as ‘Wil’s first hurricane’.

For hurricane Sandy it started raining at about 0200 Oct 29 and has not really stopped since. Looking at the radar is seems like the it might get a little worse but honestly I am not really to sure how bad it is actually going to get in the city of Baltimore. Please see the picture below to see how worried we are.

Meh

Additionally, please compare this picture to the picture from 2011. Neighbor Joe’s car is parked in basically the same place. The most crucial part of all of this is that Verizon 4G is still holding strong. Anyway, everyone stop worrying about us we are doing fine.

October 2012

We have been in autumn mode over here.  Everything has been fall, pumpkins, hay rides, and petting zoos! We went to a pumpkin patch a few weeks ago where they had burlap sack slides, goats and turkeys, tractor rides, and hay mazes.  Then just last night, they had a small lantern festival in the park where you could go ‘pumpkin hunting’ in some hay and all the kids dressed up in costumes to walk around the park with lanterns (we forgot ours.).

Its been lots of fun!  We are finally carving pumpkins today!!  I think Wil will really like sticking his hands in all the seeds.  I’ll get some Halloween and pumpkin carving pictures up at the end of the week!

Phil had a trip out to Yuma so he got to stop by my sisters in Phoenix and meet baby Elise!  Who made her way into the world on September 27th!  I also wanted to throw in a picture of Wil throwing a tantrum and with his morning hair.  Enjoy.

Oh lordy.  My best friend Annakate got married.  It was such an amaaaaaazing weekend.  The wedding was beautiful and everything, down to the paper yellow cocktail straws, screamed nashville, annakate and andrew.  My parents were down for the event, too.  So it was a great family and friends weekend!  Most of my pics came from my mom since I was busy doing my bridesmaid thing. Luckily Phil snapped one picture of me and the bride late night at the honky tonks, haha.  Congrats Annakate and Andrew!!

September 2012 was full of trips to Bloomington, Nashville and D.C.  We first went back to bloomington for a good friends wedding.  Of course the only picture I come back with is this one:

You’re welcome.  It was a short Friday-Sunday trip, but we were so glad we could make it to see our friends Sarah and Collins get married!  Congrats guys!  Then we turned around and headed to Nashville for another wedding, but I have enough pictures to turn that into a post.  So stay turned.  We also went down to D.C. for a day to do a practice run for the Army 10-Miler we had coming up in October.  We couldn’t do an exact replica run since that course shut down many streets:

But we did run around the Mall and went up to see the white house! I also don’t have many pictures of the actual race since they didn’t allow cameras,  but we had a great time!  We found a baby sitter to come to our hotel at 7:00am on a sunday to watch wilek while phil and I went to partake in the festivities.  Phil had hurt his back a few days before the race, so he took it super easy….by running with me! haha.  I am the slowest runner ever.  But we both survived.  I made us take a walk break around mile 8, but otherwise ran/jogged the whole thing!  Go us!

On the weekend we did stay home in Baltimore, we went to the Zoo for the first time!  I didn’t snap any pictures of animals, because I’m an idiot, but I did get a few on the carousel, climbing in an old turtle shell and hanging out in a tunnel under water.

Wil has loved learning to walk and walks nearly 100% of the time now.  Every once in awhile he’ll get nervous with an incline or going down a hill and will go back on his butt or crawl.  But hes upright most of the time now!!

Barney say ‘Go Os’.
